Happy Birthday Malcolm X

So many things to be said about him and his genius. His style scared many yet uplifted and inspired more...just the way I like it. Intelligent? Yes. Eloquent? Yes. Powerful? Yes. Extreme? The problem of race is extreme. To you sir, thank you. Salaam.

Keep it 100: "Let's Have a Tea Party!"

When I first looked at these tea parties making there rounds around the US my heart sunk. People calling Obama a Nazi, people enraged to the the point they can no longer control themselves. This is the flame to a very racist Americas tick, or is it?
One of the main reasons why I am angry is that these kinds of rallies against George W. Bush were stopped and people were arrested. Or was it simply not enough people speaking out in public about bush. How big of a roll is the media playing to perpetuate lies on the health care reform? Where was all the public outcry when the Patriot act took away our privacy, or when the war in Iraq began to cost trillions. I'm angry for not starting a national cookout to discuss how FEMA fucked over the people in New Orleans. People are sick and it all boils down to racism.

This is the beginning of a battle between race and class that can only further damaged an already delicate nation. 2 years ago my sociology teach said we would have a black or female president to be used as a scapegoat. He was right. People are so easy to fall for the bait. We need to wake up and talk to each other, all people. How can you be so blind, how come it took you all so long to speak up. Did you forget the $4 trillion deficit Bush left Obama to fix? Help me understand what a president who has been in office is supposed to do, when every decision he makes faces extreme opposition? There has never been a lack of disrespect shown to a president and his judgment. Do you really want him to flex his power? All that he has to do is say the right things to the right people and the tea parties would be shut down.

As a young American in the work force, the plan for HealthCare sounds pleasing. I work hard everyday and pay taxes but when i go to the hospital I get a $5,000 bill, but someone who has never payed a dime to this country can get free health care. Excuse me but is this Bizzaro world? What part of the game is that. Do you think this is fair? Why do I have to feel like I'm wrong for being a natural born citizen?

Look, everyone has their opinion and i believe in freedom of speech but learn the facts before you lie to people with the hate of your heart. My hope is that we will teach one another respect and tolorence (though i hate this use of the word.)

This is K7 and You know I can't help but to "Keep it 100"

Am I trippin or...

Does it seem like the closer and closer it got to President Obama going into office (and after) the more ignorant black peoples image on television/the media became? I mean I thought we were going down fast but not this quickly. It seems like everything has gotten more extreme. You can't have a successful black movie without it being written by Tyler Perry. A man who's best comedy is to dress like a gun-totting typical ass ABW (Angry Black Woman)? Big Mamas' House, Skank Robbers, The Miller Lite Guy (for real he acts like a female) why do black men have to act like Black women to get money on the big screen. Now dont get me wrong I love comedy but can't we do more?

The Popeye's Chicken lady, the cooning robots in Transformers 2, Frankie and Neffie, Tiny and Toya, I keep an open mind but watching Meet the Browns and House of Payne makes my head hurt. There is no balance for us anymore we are either a sidekick or making a mockery out of ourselves. How can Oprah endorse this buffoonery but she won't give Hip-Hop any love on her show? And while I am on the point of Hip-Hop, what the hell is going on? When did this Auto-tune, jewelry-Porche renting, patron sippin, "swagger", money's more important than my mother, mess become music? What happened to informing your people about what is goin on. No, not just I have to push weight to survive information, I mean letting people know why they need to be a father and the fact that going to prison doesn't equal being a "real nigga", it just means your dumb ass got caught slippin (or persecuted for being black).

Why can't we be celebrated for being smart, not just a 2 minute acknowledgment (BET Awards), I'm talking about shows that revile how advanced Egyptians were. Not history channel Egyptians who all of a sudden are white I mean the dark and beautiful all color Egyptians. What about doing a special on the emasculation of the black man with promoting this loose lifestyle, the mistreating of our women, the prison system and that God-forsaken Halle Berry dance (really bruh?). It is under the radar genocide, and if they can keep you thinking small they've won.

So I tell you this Black Man, even if you can't afford to go out of the country get a passport. If you cannot afford school, read book. Think bigger than being a rapper, producer, getting into the league because the odds are it won't happen. I would never suggest to give up on your dreams but be realistic! Who's gonna take care of our people when we are sick, represent us in court, fix our cars, build our houses if we are all rappers. In the words of Kleeane "Find out who you are so you can lead."
